"Kouslin's percussive, bass-heavy productions are instantly recognisable by his use of instruments and rhythms from around the world, whilst drawing influence from sound system culture and its continued legacy in UK music"

After releasing a string of EP’s and remixes in the past few years on labels such as Roska’s Kicks N Snares, Durkle Disco, Infinite Machine and his own Le Chatroom Records,

2019 saw Kouslin’s music soundtrack many festivals, clubs and radio sets around the world. “Bad”, with Logan on vocal duties, was a staple in Ben UFO, Call Super and Shanti Celeste’s festival sets throughout the year, and “Weh Mi Come From” featured on Idris Elba’s “Yardie” Mixtape alongside UK heavyweights Mala, Zed Bias and Toddla T.

His percussive, bass-heavy productions are instantly recognisable by his use of instruments and rhythms from around the world, whilst drawing influence from sound system culture and its continued legacy in UK music. His music has received enthusiastic support from Annie Mac, Ben UFO, Toddla T, Objekt and garnered him regular airplay and multiple appearances across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, BBC 6 Music, Rinse FM and NTS radio.

Always striving to push boundaries with his music, 2020 will see Kouslin experiment with slower tempos and release an EP on the revered Bristol label Livity Sound. Hovering around the 100bpm mark but still focusing on low-end frequencies, the release blends together the two distinct worlds of Dancehall and UK techno.

Throughout the rest of the year Kouslin will continue to push his sound via his Le Chatroom imprint, with two EPs in the pipeline, his regular Balamii radio show and forthcoming shows, remixes and releases.
